Senior Graphic Designer - Freelance
We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer who will work independently as well as in collaboration with leadership and teammates including project managers to support clients through graphic design that elevates messaging. The ideal candidate will be creative and passionate about print and digital design and the ability to story-tell through visual graphics. Deliverables will include logo and brand management, presentations, fact sheets, reports, maps, infographics, graphical illustrations (2D and 3D), electronic newsletters, digital media posts, videos, and website design.
Responsibilities and Duties
Support the graphic design team with creating a range of designs including presentations, brochures, banners, booklets, and other documents
Review and assessment of project requirements
Utilize graphic design skills to produce a variety of work including:
Prepare files for print
Organize and manage digital assets
Collaborate with team to develop projects
Design landing pages and website
Design and create brand guidelines that include but are not limited to logos, color palette, templates, website/landing page, photography, etc.
Take art direction from client and project managers
Revise work based on review from team and clients
Qualifications and Skills
BA or BFA in Graphic Design
3-6 years experience in a similar role
Produce high-quality designs under tight deadlines required
Partner cross-functionally to gain a clear understanding of sales objectives, and present effective solutions to design/advertising challenges that accomplish client objectives
Maintain open and professional communication relating to project status to teammates, managers, and business partners
Ability to produce designs from initial brief through to completion
Excellent verbal and written skills
Organized and self-motivated
Time management skills
Skilled in Adobe CC InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Office
Strong portfolio of sample graphic design projects
Eagerness to learn and grow design and marketing skills
Excellent computer competency and adept at learning new digital platforms; Knowledge of Asana a huge plus
Being able to work well with other creative members to streamline tasks efficiently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work and maintain good judgment in fast-paced environments while managing workload and priorities
Ability to take design feedback and incorporate it quickly
Solid understanding of the principles and elements of design, layout, and grid systems.
HTML email and Wix design/build experience is a plus
Available to work nights and weekends when needed to meet deadlines
