With nearly 20 years of experience in media and communications, Jessica Perez is a seasoned Public Relations Director with a diverse background spanning journalism, news production, government, and public sector industries.
Jessica began her career at FOX News in Chicago as a Production Assistant, where she supported the assignment desk and field-produced segments for daily broadcasts. She then took on a dual role as an Assignment Editor and Reporter for KTUZ-TV Telemundo in Oklahoma City—the state's only Spanish-language news broadcast—where she led newsroom operations, coordinated daily coverage, and produced her own news segments.
Transitioning into public sector communications, Jessica served as a Communications Specialist for the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer, where she played a key role in media relations, content creation, and statewide marketing initiatives. She later joined Chicago Public Schools as a Deputy Press Secretary, focusing on media response and storytelling, including the development of Inside CPS, an innovative digital news broadcast.
Jessica's expertise in public relations expanded further during her tenure as Public Relations Manager for the Illinois Lottery, where she led winner storytelling initiatives, secured statewide media coverage, and developed video campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
Recognized for her on-camera talent by the Oklahoma Media Network in 2010, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago. Her passion for strategic communication and compelling storytelling continues to shape her impactful career in public relations.
